I hope all is getting better. I still have business waiting. =)
Yeah, definitely have a lot of stuff on reserve with Bob. Especially the Trinity 5161's. He did arrange to get my evans boxcars (minus the W&S 2-Pack since it's apparently not available yet) and a couple TM 52' gons shipped through Atlas. They arrived in perfect condition! Thanks Bob and Atlas!
I believe it is Bob who is having problems. He was in then out and then back in the hospital a couple of weeks ago. I have not heard anything since. I do not know what his health issues are. His son has been trying to help and has shipped some preorders out, but not all. He is also answering some emails.
I hope Bob is doing better.
Dan
Fellows, he is hanging in there and the family is making incredible efforts to get a trickle of orders out. Best way to get in touch with his son is amhobbies2@hotmail.com with any order issues. Keep him in your prayers as he journeys back to his former situation.

I have dealt with Bob several times and he is a really GOOD guy. Wishing him all the best!

A great guy to deal with. My prayers are with him and his family
Wishing Bob a steady recovery and keeping him in our prayers. Always a professional in purchases/questions, always helpful no matter if an inexpensive/expensive purchase.
Anyone know why I cant get a response from AM Hobbies ? I ordered from them a week ago and no response, tried calling yesterday and no answer, the last few times i emailed them I never even received a reply (a big order enquiry) seems strange.
thanks
Edward
It is now JD's Trains/AM Hobbies. Jeff Dobslaw runs both.
Jeff also has 3 kids who just went back to school. Now he has more time for the hobby shop work.

Any follow up on Bob's status? He was always a frsh breath of air.
Go to the new website and get a new phone number. I think they have phased out all the old AM hobbies stuff as Jeff has moved the business over.
Look under the "about us" tab for a phone number and address.
Thanks. thats the number i tried yesterday morning and it just cuts to answer phone, I also get no response from the email listed either, i sent a couple of chasers but nothing for over a week.
I talked to Jeff a several months back. Bob is retired and he and his wife were doing fine.
Don't know what's happening at JDs but I have some things ordered from there. I also use Steamhirsh and he has been great. He is a retired man that deals in Atlas O. Nice fellow to talk with and up to date with most Atlas happenings.
Phill
Phill,
Can you provide contact info for Steamhirsh?
Thanks,
Ed
I just had an Email from Jeff last week, they have just received a large order from Atlas. I believe it is the container shipment from early July. The Sept 19 container report has just been posted.
Just received an email ad from Jeff. He must be there.
