Maybe I'm spoiled. Using the supplied remote, my first Lionchief Plus Hudson crawls and runs very smoothly. From the point when you turn the speed control wheel, where it just starts to move, then up to full speed, the loco runs so smooth and nice.
Yesterday, a Lionchief FA A-A set arrived. Using the remote just like I do for the Hudson, the locos start to move then hesitate then move some more. Turning the speed up to where I like (pretty slow) there is a slight jerkiness to its movement that you can hear. There is also a "ticking" sound from the powered loco.
I like this set. It's 027 scale looks good with my baby Madison passenger cars. I have not yet contacted the store to see my options.
Before I do, I thought I'd ask the forum if this is correctable with a visit to Lionel repairs or am I asking for too much?
