American Flyer 282 4-6-2

My grandparents picked up an American Flyer set for me at an estate sale they went to, although the one thing missing is the locomotive. From what I found based on looking up sets that included the cars I have, it would have been a 282 Pacific type locomotive.  Being an O gauge guy, I have no clue what a reasonable price to look for one at would be, so I was wondering what a proper approximate price range would be?  They seem to be selling all over the place price-wise on Ebay, so it's hard to get an accurate figure.

I finally got around to purchasing the locomotive I needed for my set at a local show last week.  Doing some more research, I probably wanted the metal body tender vs the plastic one I got, but it's close enough for me.  It's in great shape and runs well.  Smokes like crazy too.  Now I see why people like the American Flyer stuff  

Obviously my cars need a bit of cleaning since I haven't done anything with them since I received them, but I'm sure I'll have to add to this set over time.  The basic original set would have had the 282 locomotive, the 629 boxcar, the 640 hopper and the caboose.  The flat car must have been added later.
