I got this in a lot with some other AF items and I think it is an AF 2015 semaphore but it seems to be relatively rare so I'm not sure. When I got it the coil had been burned up so I'm trying to replace it with a Lionel coil that fits in the base. I haven't finished putting it back together, it need the light and wiring. Does anyone have a source for a Flyer light hood? Does anyone have any information on these such as when they were made and approximately what it is worth?

That would be a 2015 (o gauge) or 4015 (wide gauge). It came in all green, like yours, or blue and tan, like the one below.
Nobody makes the light hood for that. To my knowledge it has never been reproduced.
It works!
When I got this the paint was terrible and it didn't work. The coil had burned to the point that the insulating paper was charred black ash. I was able to find a similar sized Lionel coil in my parts box which I adapted to this signal. So a repaint, rewire and replace the coil and it works like new.
Also judging by the size I guess I have a 4015 semaphore.

I was told by a parts manufacturer that it is too expensive to make the light caps. It would take something like 11 different dies to make them and the cost would be prohibitive. He suggested removing the rings off of an ordinary switch cap and painting it black.
I found one in my junk box that is smaller than the Lionel ones and looks good so that's what I'm using.
