Hi Andre,

I've been wanting to contact you about my idea for possible production. I've been debating on whether to contact you via email or through the forum. I've decided to mention this on the forum because you post here regularly. Also, it will allow fellow forum members to express their support or prove it to be a small niche unworthy of production. So let me get on with this posting...

The area of buildings for my idea is Thurmond, WV. Because the area is small, I think it would be a good collection of buildings. Highlights from the collection could be the Coaling and Sanding House, Merchants Row (National Bank of Thurmond, Goodwin-Kincaid Building, & Mankin-Cox Building), Thurmond Post Office, and the Passenger Depot. The Engine House and Water Tanks could also be included. Below is a map of Thurmond and photos of modeling subjects I snagged from the internet.

Thanks in advance for looking over the post Andre.

Original Post

Definitely my favorite "ghost town" in the east.  I was lucky to get there before and after the National Park Service took it over and spruced it up.   I have seen a lot of model railroads where a few buildings are crammed together into a small space to represent a town.  Turmond is that, in 1 to 1 scale, real life, and is the town.   The station has been offered in kits, in HO, for sure, and I think, in O, and I wish many of the other RR buildings had been.  First I had heard of a meat packer there.
