Android DCS Wifi App Not Available on New Phones?

A major help here would be the phone and version of Android you are running.

One UI Version 5.1 (this may be a Samsung thing, don't know)

FWIW, I have a Galaxy S21 G5 and it's running Android 13, the current version.  The WiFi app works fine on my phone.

Interesting. The store says it won't work as it is to old. I'll try to find the apk and install it that way.

I'm afraid that my phone would beg to differ with your "store".

I have a Google Pixel 6 Pro running Android 13 and it works fine.

I was able to download the apk file and install it. It opened fine, but since I don't have the module yet, I have nothing to connect to. I guess I need to find one now (they are hard to find).

New WIUs "should" arrive at the end of May.

I have the Samsung S 21 Ultra 5G running Android version 13 and have NO problems running the MTH APP!

That is awesome to hear!!

To those that have the app; had you downloaded it on a previous device with the older software and then just transferred it to your NEW phone OR are you a 1st time user that was able to download for the 1st time it to your CURRENT device??  The Google Play store says that it's not available for devices running newer versions of Android...unless it's provider-driven but I find that hard to believe.

Where did you find the APK file?

I went to the Play Store and searched for MTH DCS APP.  This is what I got, looks like it's in the Play Store for me.

This is odd, What version of Android are you running on your phone? I was able to download the app on a Google Pixel Pro running Android 13 which is the most recent release.

No problem on my Samsung Galaxy A52 5G with Android 13.

I have a Google Pixel 7 running Android 14 and receive the same message, "This app isn't available for your device because it was made for an earlier version of Android." So what do I do now? Thanks in advance for any help.

Droid 14 is about two months old and officially you'll have to wait for an update to the app on the Play Store.  A Google search can show you ways to install incompatible apps on your phone.

I had downloaded the app on an older android phone(running Android 9, I believe). Because I had done this, the app showed up in my play store search on my current Android 13 phone(moto 5G stylus 2022).

The app works much more consistent for me in Android 12 and older, but does work on my 13, with some inconsistency.

On another Android 13 phone (same model as mentioned above) with a Google account that had not previously downloaded the app(on any version of Android), the app will appear in a play store search but cannot be downloaded due to the store saying the app is designed for an older version.

If possible, those having trouble, get it on an older version of Android using your current Android's Google account. Then try on current phone.
