The northern most terminus of this railroad was indeed Chicago. We are proud to have added this engine to our backyard! The underdog C&EI served several railroads within Chicago proper, unbeknownst to many of today's railroad enthusiasts. As some of you might know, when traveling east on Interstate 80/294, just pass the Thornton Quarry you will still see the C&EI Bridge overhead with the original herald still prominently displayed!
