We are thrilled to be a part of OGR and we highly appreciate all the kind words we have read here on the forum. My brother & I have a collection of every OGR issue and we are constantly referring back to them quite frequently for help with various projects and often just for inspiration. And we are always looking forward to the next issue.
I am very fortunate and thankful to be able to 'look forward' to going to work everyday. Far too many people today can not say that. I just returned to the family business a few years ago as a 2nd career since the first one, in the architectural field, came crashing down. The money definitely isn't as good but it is far outweighed by the great people in this hobby that we deal with daily.
Our business was started by my grandfather in 1939 as a toy train repair business. My father then turned it into a full function train store and a lifelong career.
It gives my brother & I great pride to be able to continue things as the 3rd generation. And my 12 year old son says he plans to keep things going as the 4th. We'll see how that goes. LOL
Sorry, I am rambling. Anyway, thanks OGR for everything, please keep up the great work. This is a big year for us, 75 years, so keep an eye out here on the forum, we have a lot of great stuff planned throughout the rest of the year to celebrate and we plan to be doing it with all of you.
And please, don't hesitate to check us out:
