Hi Guys,
I have to travel to the Tacoma-Seattle area at the end of the month and was wondering if you have any advice for places to stop by and see or buy trains?
Thanks as always,

Hey Jay
Eastside Trains in Kirkland features multiple scales and is the premier store for 3 rail trains in the Pacific Northwest.

The Electric Train Shop is Burien is near Sea-Tac airport and also stocks trains in multiple scales. In addition to modern three rail you are likely to find some neat pre-war items on the shelves.

The Inside Gateway is a great place for HO and books. It also has some O scale with a few 3 rail items likely in stock. Their new location in Woodinville is hard to find the first time but worth a trip if northwest prototype information is of interest.
Jay, I have to second Ted's comment on Eastside Trains in Kirkland, their on the shelf inventory is unbelieveable. My problem is the few times that I am able to get there, it is usually on a lunch break, and there simply is not enough time. Just browsing the three rail stuff will blow my lunch out of the water, then if I let Dustin, one of the service techs start chewing my ear, I really have to "find some time" in my log book(I'm a truck driver)
If you're going to be in the Sea-Tac area, Eastside Trains would be the top of my list for must see's.

Yes, Eastside Trains! Just allow enough time to look around and buy something. Kirkland is on Lake Washington, lots of places to eat lunch or dinner.
I have been to Eastside Trains on my only business trip to the Seattle area. It is a world class hobby store. Worth a visit anytime you are in the area.

How'd it go?
I'll be in Seattle all week. Eastside Trains is on the schedule. Any other 3Rail LHS or layouts I should check out? Or other train related sights I should check out? I'm going to some Mariner games so I'll be down around the real trains too. Maybe I'll get lucky and ride the SLUT. Any thoughts or suggestions?
We stopped by Eastside Trains a couple weeks ago. This must be the premier O gauge store on the west coast, I've never seen so much gear in this part of the country. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we didn't have enough time to peruse all of the inventory. Everyone went out of their way to help me and answer all my questions.
