Spending Thanksgiving in the Pittsburgh area this year. Are there any specific train-related things going on in the area, other than the Carnegie Science Museum and the local train shops? Any open houses, train meets or anything like that?

I'll be at Imperial Trains Saturday after 2 if you want to check out the DCS or Lionel Apps.
The Christmas Parade is Saturday Morning in front of the old Macy's. Not train related but still fun. PPG Place has the Winter Garden with some G scale trains operating.
Kennywood Park has it's Christmas Displays going with Pittsburgh's own Independent HiRailers operating their layout as well as a decorated Park!
Mike, check your e-mail.

Sunday there is a train show near Kittanning. A few miles east on 422.
Mike,
Andy posted that the big Kenywood light show and Train set up would be starting on the weekend of Thanksgiving I believe, you definitely need to check the Hi Railers incredible train show out. One of the very best train set ups in the Pittsburgh area.

great train layout, and a beautiful light display you drive thru.
Thanks everyone. Kennywood might be a possibility. Imperial Trains is one of my favorite train stores so I'm hoping to make a trip over there at some point. Dr, Jack, I have your e-mail, will respond soon.
See you on the PA Turnpike! Happy Thanksgiving!
Good luck on the Pa. Turnpike !!
Mike,
If you can swing it, a trip to Mercer Junction would be high on my list.
Hope to see you at Kennywood.
