Bachman had said they would ship the first couple of their new EZ-Street sedans include 42725, the Maroon sedan, in October. I expected a few to show up this week at the larger retailers. Anyone know when they are expected?

Siiiiiigggggghhhh!
Thanks for the info.
Their website did say shipping 10/31/2013. Now it says unavailable. I am hoping that the first shipment got out, I had two on order through trainworld.com
That's what I was hoping for. But I have not seen them offered anywhere, and I've looked everywhere.
Lee, they didn't say what year, did they?
I was hoping these would be here in time for Christmas (this year). Terry
I met with the Bachmann reps at Trainfest in Milwaukee this past weekend. They had all of the versions on site and running on the EZStreet module. The rep said that two of the cars will be in stores by the end of this November.
The police car was getting the most attention from hobbyists, according to the reps, followed by the taxi. I was hoping that the cars were going to have operating headlights and that the police car would have an operating red light on the roof. That is not the case, but I'm sure we can put our talents to work and modify them!
Overall, the models looked nice and functioned very nicely.
Spoke with Larry from Williams By Bachmann he told me should be at their Warehouse 30 days from now.
You can see them run in the following video. He also said that the police car and taxi cab had room for provision to add lights in the shell. Should be pretty cool.

I'm trying to think of what else I would like to see in this line. The sedans pretty much nail it. I wouldn't mind a stubby 50's dump truck or tractor/trailer similar to what Lee has made. And his custom 50s/60s buses are great, they would do well to copy those. Maybe a Divco? The vans were never the right era and neither were the huckster trucks. How k-line ever came up with those selections, I'll never know. haha
Per video the sedans are in a container 'on the water'.......
Based on my experience with hobby items shipped from Asia that can vary greatly, customs and port traffic, and no firm ETA until the container is on a truck post customs.
Well, maybe by Christmas, I hope.
Any word on these?
Nary a word from anyone. I've asked, and no one I can talk to has a date other than "first quarter of next year."
The sedans have appeared on ebay. Who has them in stock?
In stock and ready to ship today!
Thank You very much Charlie! Your shop is set up!
I already received shipping confirmation. This is a gift so it is great to know I will have the taxi and other items in time.
Thanks
Bill
We even have a working EZ street layout up too
In stock and ready to ship today!
Thanks everyone - just ordered two from you guys in the last two minutes.
Thanks Lee, boxed and out the door today!
Kudos to my shipping staff this year! Great job guys
I ordered mine from Trainworld, I hope they got theirs as well!
Just ordered the police car from you Charlie. Just a question. Why is USPS priority mail not an option?
-Ted
USPS gives us the worst service. They don't pick up as quick as UPS or Fedex. We do use them for small orders. In order to give the best and most timely service that interfaces best with our new systems here we use UPS. My main concern is to get it as quickly as possible to you and with the best shipper.
Thanks everyone!
Sorry to hear that Charlie, I had a little different experience. UPS ground coast to coast is about as slow as it gets. A package was shipped last Saturday from Florida, I got it by noon Monday with priority mail. UPS ground would have been all week. I have known several UPS sort facility workers- the stories of how they handle packages on the sort line is scary. I know when the boxes get heavy and over 12 inches on any one side priority gets pricey and I end up using UPS ground. USPS insurance claims are impossible to deal with. UPS is better if the packing meets their standard. They all have their pluses and minuses.
Looking forward to the car I have been a fan of EZ streets for a long time.
Ted
Lee, I think the cars are perfect for modification. I briefly looked at my taxi last night and it appears the chassis is actually 2 pieces (front back) that overlap and are held together with screws. I have not confirmed this but it appears the wheelbase can be increased by about 3/8" or possibly shortened. I guess this was done to allow the option of other vehicles in the future.
I assume your workbench will look like a chop shop by the end of the week!

Lee and All,
Just received a taxi. As Bill said, these look perfect for modifications. Here's a few pictures.
Three screws hold body to frame. Tire diameter is approximately 5/8".
Center rail pickup roller and motor mounting much improved over Superstreets.
Taxi wheelbase is approximately 2 3/4". Screws to adjust wheelbase are on left and right side right behind seat assembly.
With dash and seat assemblies removed, wheelbase adjusted up to approximately 3 3/16". Adjusts in increments of approximately 3/16".
Shortened to a minimum wheelbase of approximately 2 3/8".
Whether you run them stock or modify them, these were worth the wait.
Willams by Bachmann - Well Done!
Looking forward to seeing Lee's and other's modifications.
Larry
Thanks guys. I haven't even received the first two I ordered but ordered two more from just now. That adjustable chassis . . . oh yes!
Charlie Nassau says mine are on the way. Thank you Charlie!
