Still unpacking trains from our move. Found a new Train America Trubo Smoke AC smoke unit brand new in the box. My question is will it fit in a K-line scale steam engine? Thanks Don

I have a K-Line with an MTH fan driven smoke unit installed, as I remember the TAS unit, it's no bigger than the MTH.
John, what K-line engine? Don
TAS put one in a k-line mikado for me IIRC. I no longer have the engine, so I can't be sure.

It's the K-Line Mikado that I have. Smokes great with the fan driven unit in it.

Interesting, I wonder how they got the MTH smoke unit into mine, it works like a champ. I haven't opened it up yet, I bought it that way.
I spoke to Mike about this today and he said to get it into any K-Line Steamer that you would have to cut the board to fit around the motor. And for all the labor he did not think that it was worth it...as you have to extend all of the wires and wire them around the motor and then hope that the shell did not kink or break one of the wires. He said that the way the motors are positioned in the chassis that it leaves little to no room for the board.
Mine was upgraded to PS/2, so the board is in the tender, probably why it wasn't an issue!
