Stout Auctions is proud to present a Friday sale filled with Railroadiana and modern O and Standard gauge trains from various manufactures including Lionel, MTH, K Line, and more.
The first 42 lots are all Railroadiana with lanterns, bells, Erie builders plates with documentation and more.
The O and Standard Gauge highlights for this auction include a cache of scarce Lionel Ambassador cars from 1997, 1999, and 2000. These scarce cars come directly from Lionel and are the largest quantities of this car we have ever seen at one time.
Other highlights include a Lionel standard gauge Hiawatha set, Commodore Vanderbilt set, Lionel Classics blue comet set, other standard gauge cars, and tinplate buildings. GET READY FOR THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!! Stout Auctions is incredibly proud to be offering the iconic collection of Louis Rose, a/k/a as “Choo Choo Lou”. Lou has been a longtime friend and customer who had two attributes in collecting that are rarely seen in the same individual – incredible love for the rarest/best quality trains he could find and the willingness to do whatever it took to acquire them! Price was no object when it came to getting the rarest and best examples of a particular train. Because of these attributes, Lou was offered trains most of us only dream about. Over the last 30 years or so, I have commented that certain collections were the best we have ever seen, well I was wrong. Lou’s collection is absolutely the best Lionel O gauge postwar, along with many prewar pieces, I have ever seen. It is really that good. In addition, Lou has one of the best quality American Flyer S gauge collections that exists. In April we will begin with a bit of a 200-300 lot teaser from this collection with the majority selling in the Autumn/Winter of 2019.
