Can't say for sure, because when these were announced I think Atlas-O said 4 road-numbers.  But a couple of Atlas-O dealers seem to only list -1 and -2 versions on their websites for these cars.  No -3 or -4.  So it's possible Atlas-O may have only produced 2 roadnumbers.

There are a couple of other oddities I noticed about this announcement as well:

  • The CSX "How Tomorrow Moves" logo is different from anything I've seen to date, in that the "brackets" around CSX drop to the wheels; whereas the brackets are typically only around the letters "CSX" -- at least as far as I'm aware.  Atlas-O is pretty careful about sticking to prototype designs and graphics, so it's highly unusual that this would happen.  Yet this oddity is even illustrated that way in their announcement.  They got the logo right on the recently delivered 53' containers, so I'm not sure what happened with the Berwick boxcars.  I couldn't find an online photo of a prototype CSX Berwick boxcar... so who knows?

  • The TTX boxcar is illustrated as "all yellow", but the production model has black doors... which I believe is more accurate to the prototype anyway.  So that's a good thing.

Under an earlier topic of these cars on the forum there is an actual prototype pic of the CSX car with the oversized brackets around the "How Tomorrow Moves" logo apparently Athearn brought out an HO Berwick with this paint scheme and Atlas followed suit. I did not see the Atlas TTX car pictured on MrMuffins site but I had pointed out to Atlas back when they first announced this latest Berwick rerun that the TTX drawing was incorrect without the black doors they said the actual run would be correct but they never changed the illustrations on the preorders leaving some doubt as to weather it would be correct or not, bear in mind both Jerry and Rob left Atlas this past year.

My bad!!!  I should have known Atlas-O's attention to detail meant there was a prototype in existence with that logo SOMEWHERE.  I had never seen that.   And a quick search of the Internet came up empty for CSX Berwick cars -- only other types of CSX boxcars with the CSX (underline) logo.  I guess even Google isn't bullet-broof!!!

So the CSX Berwick  "How Tomorrow Moves" logo will surely make these cars a good topic of discussion if a sharp-eyed visitor notices the different CSX logo compared to other rolling stock with the more common "How Tomorrow Moves" logo on them.

My 2 rail cars also TTX & CP too much pressure remounting the cut levers correctly will have you regluing the mtg platform also, Atlas QC may be slipping.

I had to re-glue 2 of said platforms. The uncoupling levers are a snug fit. I used a pin vise to push out the levers while exerting pressure on the platform. It worked fine on my CSX boxcars but on each TTX boxcar a platform snapped.

Not to derail this thread but my Chessie ACF 6-bay cylindrical hoppers came with 70-ton roller bearing trucks instead of 100. I've contacted Bill Serratelli about this and he is sending me the correct trucks in exchange for the wrong ones.

It's no surprise that Atlas is having all kinds of major difficulties delivering any locomotives. I don't think they have factory workers with whom they are confident assembling their engines.

Interesting that Atlas did not note at reservation announcements that only 2 rd#s per car would be available anyone who ordered more than 2 of any of the offered paint schemes must be disappointed.

Yes I was!  Specifically Order for of the TTX because they announced 4 road numbers.  Then to only ship two road numbers without informing us is unacceptable.  I know everyone is always ragging on Atlas, and I usually support Atlas, but this time it seems like they were just trying to drive up pre-orders and then did not deliver what they advertised.  These are beautiful cars, but just be honest and up front with your customers...to do otherwise is a good way to loose customers.

Disappointing  was an understatement.... at first I thought the dealer screwed up ,after a phone call it was confirmed. Steve nelson did offer to take the two cars back, but I just like em too much....
