Thanks for the input.

I was using a new computer attached to my layout, so I needed to download WinZip and then run WinRar to extract the files downloaded from MTH.

I then needed to move the DCS V6.1 files to a sub directory of the DCS loader location.

Once I had the actual program on my computer (not the zip file), then things went according to the instructions. I was able to download V6.1 to my TIU and all 3 Remotes quite easily. I then created a backup of my remote to the PC.

I found the instruction about powering up the TIU a little confusing. It says to remove the power to the TIU, however it is not very clear on when you should turn it back on. When the loader program is looking for the RS232 on Com1, then if the power to the TIU is not on, it says it cannot find the TIU, so I turned on the power and it worked fine.

I had a dedicated set of cables beside the PC for this downloading process (from the last time I did this in 2013), so I did not have to go to Radio Shack this time.

I also remembered from previous posts to have a clamp on hand to hold down the remote ON button. With 3 remotes to upgrade, this saved my hand from cramping up.

Thanks again, as now I can install the WiFi unit (next week) to improve the Ipad response time. A delay on activating an uncoupler track section is very frustrating, as compensating for a variable lag time between touching the Ipad and having the uncoupler magnet activate is near impossible.
