Thanks, Mike. I won’t put everyone to sleep with this build, but I’ll post on it again when I get some painting done.

Thanks Joel, That is a very keen looking restore.... Anything else in the pipe line???😁👍
Yessir there is. Coming from Canada, so not sure when they will arrive. An Austin Somerset, and an Austin Devon. Both Dinky models.

👌👍
I'm inspired by you guys - I just picked these two up to restore
OR, should I keep them as is, with their "patina", and put 'em on a shelf instead of the layout?
John, are those tootsie toys? As you can tell by my past posts, I’m a restorer, I buy the wrecks and try to give them a new life. Very fun.
Finished re-painting this '73 Mustang Mach 1 in Ford Saddle Bronze (or as close as I could find) for my brother who had this real car back in the day. The model came originally as a yellow "Eleanor" version.
These restorations are great! Giving new life to old toys is a beautiful thing!

Ted, it's not good for a man to be separated from his paint...hope you have a reunion soon...
New customer asking questions at Tobias Redington's,~ fabrication & speed shop'. One of Curt Henion's, favorite customizing garage'..
Man Ted, you do some really nice work on your buildings.

Nope
They are Manoil
Picked up this Dugan's Divco truck
Great memories of fresh bread and muffins delivered every week when I was little in NYC
John, that Divco truck looks great. I’ve never heard of manoil, I’ll have to do a little homework on those. Do you happen to have a picture of them from the bottom you could share?

Great scene, Ted...makes me want to walk into the grocery and grab a morning coffee...great paint job and weathering on the Chevy pick-up! I can see why the garage is a favorite of Curt's...
No chips needed in cars at this Chevy dealership...business couldn't be any better! I know Curt's a GM guy...this one's for you Curt...a lot full of 55's for you...

Thanks very much Joel'.. I love scratch building'. The grocery is a version of an actual model on the market. Completely scratched. The garage is a kit that I modified and bashed. A tribute to Curt Henion, a former contributor to this thread, that left the forum to a disagreement with management'.. He will be missed'...

John, I love it. My dad drove a Dugan's truck in his youth. Where did you get it?
Ted, I wrote a post complimenting those two buildings, and the background trees and brush looking so good, but I seem to have forgotten to hit the “Post Reply” button! (Okay, maybe it’s because I’m 74, or, better, my puppy interrupted me and wanted to take a walk. Yeah! That’s it!)

JDFonz, Great Restore!
John, I say do one to give it a try and if you like it do the other one!
Richie C. Wonderful paint job and tribute to your brother!
Ted thats a great scene at Tobias Garage! Good place to put it next the the grocery store with cold beer! LOL
Paul, Love the BeeCroft dealership scene! Just wondering if your able to change out the sign? Say maybe Dodge, Ford as you have a great selection of different makes.
Nothing new from me guys Sorry. But I still love to come and see what you are all doing! Maybe when my layout redo gets further along.

This came in the mail yesterday... really sweet!!! I fondly remember riding buses like this in the late 60’s - early 70’s (pre-air conditioning... ugh) especially on the B41 along Flatbush Ave. to go shopping in downtown Brooklyn.
My only excuse is Kevin (@Amfleet25124) made me do it

Thanks, Ted. Kevin is already here - go back about 2 pages and you will see his entire fleet. He is the best type of bad influence for sure

I showed my wife Kevin's pics of the busses. She grew up and lived in the Bronx'.. Now she wants the bus that goes to White Plains Road' from the Bronx.....😍

Growing up in the Bronx my favorite was also the White Plains Road bus.

That's a tough call, but they both have a fair amount of color left, especially the green truck, and they do not look to have any substantial metal damage, so in the vein of "they're only original once", I'd vote to display them as is.
