I haven't even attempted to run a train for about 3 years, but decided that it was time to get back into it. My layout is about 15x15 with a toggle between DCS and conventional. Fired her up, and unfortunately things are not working properly, I have 13 switches running off two black bricks. Group 1 lights up at the switches but the buttons at the control board do not light up. Group 2 is completely dead. I ran an engine around the track and when the engine ran over a certain switch in group 1, a spark appeared and the lights on the buttons flicker. Group 2 remained dead the entire time. Looks like I have a lot of work to do. The good news is that I put 3V BCR's (I think that's what they were) in my 4 DCS engines and they run great.

My partially operating layout sat dormant for 17 years. I had a lot of relearning to do but thats part of the fun of a hobby.
Nice to see you back Vitto. Take your time while troubleshooting and I am sure you will get everything up and running OK.
Welcome back, that's the fun of it, fixing this stuff up.

Welcome back; enjoy.
Hi,Im sure your track, switches and locomotives could use one h@ll of a cleaning. Two bricks is way to much power just to run13 switches.Have fun and good luck.
Hi Vitto, great to have you back. I agree with Nick, dirty track and rollers can cause all kinds of problems with any command system.
You built it and you can fix it.
