I sort of got out of 2 rail, couldn't afford to do both my outdoor G scale UK 16mm narrow gauge and indoor 2 rail O.  Traded off most of what I had for needed G scale items at a shop in Indianapolis.   But one of the long time shops in Lafayette, Indiana,  Hawkin's Rail, is in the process of shutting down, Jack Hawkins in is an assisted care facility now in very poor health and his daughter is having a blow out the next 3 Saturdays before the final auction at some point.  Didn't expect to find anything but my friend wanted to go and I am glad I did.  For a super keen price I picked up what is the holy grail for me in O scale, a beautifully built Kemtron Wabash Mogul.  Missing the boiler weight and I had to put the wheel sets back in the tender trucks.  Runs smooth but dry on the test leads.  Wheels have zero wear.    Then I found 2 NKP covered hopper kits, unstarted(and I will have to get some trucks for them).  Then found among a pile of HO stuff, a partially complete All Nation NW2, duel truck chain drive.  Everything to complete is in the box, even the instructions.  Last goodie I picked up was a near mint condition 1949 Wathers O scale catalog.   There is also an old brass GP7 or GP9, non dynamic and painted in Wabash blue bird for $180ish but I was out of spending money, looked nice, probably a Kemtron engine is my guess.  Shop will only be open the next 2 or 3 Saturdays, call early and talk to his daughter, non consignment items are 25% off and she will ship items if you cannot make the final days of the shop.   Best time is early, like 10am or there about(before dad is there)as his daughter wants to move stuff out fast!    Cheers   Mike

The mogul runs well if a bit stiff, so its getting some break in time upside down hooked up to a throttle.  The NW2 needs the chain drives rebuilt, one big sprocket is split, other truck is fine and my guess will stay fine after all these years.  Someone here was willing and able to replace the chain sprockets, would you please contact me if you still are.  I will have both gear boxes upgraded so the drive will be bulletproof.   Thanks   Mike
