Base not Found on 993 Set

other handheld might need to be updated to 1.4.  how did your base get updated to 1.4? if it came that way then there should be a 1.4 update in the box for the other handheld.

update both CAB2 and the 990 base to 1.5.1 Or even 1.4 and you will have not problems

IF 1.1 is still on the cab-2 that goes with the 993 it will not see 1.3 and above.

Ok, yes, the 990 unit came as Ver 1.4.  I'll give the update of the 993 a try this evening.  Thanks.

The 993 base has no components to upgrade.

As long as the 990 and the 2 cabs are on the same version, then you have done all you can?

Have you tried scanning to find the 990 base?  The CAB2 should come up and if it can't find the base will give you the option to retry or scan.

You do realize the #993 "base" is just a charger, right?  It has no firmware to update.

Yes to the charger question and yes I was trying to scan for the base so the 2nd cab-2 may need updated.  I'll be trying that when I get home from work today.

Just looked at some of your site, Marty.  One of my Legacy Locos is an early 1950's NYC F3 that I had an aftermarket TMCC board installed in.

Guys, Thanks for the ideas.  I came home tonight, inserted the Cab modual from the 990 unit into the 993 cab-2 and turned it on.  After it reset, it showed me V 1.4 Base & Cab where it had been reading Base Not Found.  I was then able to program in the locomotive I wanted to run on my secondary track with no problems.  Thanks again.
