I am working on a wood caboose kit. I would like to put a smoking unit in it. What's the best unit to use? I was thinking about taking one out of a Kline caboose--would that work? Thanks, Don

If you are talking about an actual model in wood, of a wood sided caboose, I don't think I'd put a smoke unit inside it at all. Now a "plastic" model of a wood sided caboose would be a different story.
Yes, all wood! Guess they all heat up so would have a burned caboose? Don
NONE!
Apologies in adavance, but we had ribs for dinner...so, how about one of those big green eggs, would go great if your wood is hickory or mesquite!... Ok, I'll let myself out now.
I had a K-line caboose that was a very anemic smoker. I think that I would get a MTH smoke unit like is in the MTH Hot Chocolate Smoking Tank Car. It has a fan and really puts out the smoke!

I have a Islay's tanker that would be a good smoke unit for a caboose.
