I would like to announce the Thursday, October 17th biannual pre-York breakfast.

Place: the Round-the-Clock Diner 222 Arsenal Rd or the north side of Route, just east of I-83.

All are invited......people start arriving at 0730-0800 and we usually stay till about 10-1030.

Come and dine with your fellow York attendees and catch the pre-meet excitement. I really do mean all are welcome.  Spouses are most certainly welcome. Traveling alone? In a small group? 1st York? Come and join us.  Put a face with a name. Catch up with what's gone on since April. Talk trains. Get new ideas. Make new acquaintances.....that's what this hobby is all about.

I reserve tables. It is pretty informal. Just give me an idea if you coming....there is no time limit on when to respond. It's just a great way to spend the morning before the Meet starts!

This is also a special breakfast......probably the last one on a Thursday......With the return of the 2 day Meet in April, I will be moving this to Fridays....and we won't have time to linger like we do now.....

I'll be there smiling wide as I can. Debating on coffee or tea with breakfast. I know that it's early, but I think I had coffee last year and tea the year before. I guess it'll depend on how tired I am from running around the day before.

Dave.....here's the website:

Yeah, I already know what I'll eat, just not sure about drinking. I'll have pancakes, eggs(poached) and something else probably. Having a bagel may be too much to eat. I'll figure it out when were there. Just have to see how tired I feel when I get there. Always good to post the menu regardless. Hopefully there's enough maple syrup to go around so I can tease Alan when we see him later if he's unable to attend.😃

i hope to be there before all the early birds finish breakfast! So what will the plan be as York goes back to an early Friday start? Friday breakfast at 6 am?

I have already been thinking it through......probably 0700-0830......got to leave time for travel to the Fairgrounds.....Remember, Fridays will be more crowded than what we have come to expect on the current 3 day meet.

I'm going to try and be there for "Last Thursday".

Perhaps we could pose for the "Last Breakfast".

Count me in!

I wonder who we could get to take a picture for that? May be hard with the space, guess we'll see what comes.

What a great idea.....I’m sure we could get someone at the Diner to take it....history demands that we keep a record for posterity.....

With apologies to Abe.......the world will little note nor long remember what we said there.....but, it can never forget what we did there.....

Guys.....I am very pumped, too.......if fact I just spent the equivalent of 2 plus Vision Line engines on a new furnace....yet, when I look at it, I’m all smiles.

That goes right to:  New car tires, repair car air-conditioner, new water heater & all that other kind of stuff.  How do you get excited when you show these new items to friends.

I would like to think the cold would feel different with new AC.  Unfortunately, no!  Bummer.

Oh my gosh....I just learned today I need one as well and it's being installed on Wednesday  (heck of a birthday present to myself).   The York fund definitely took a hit.

Hi Peter,

Marla and I will be there for the historical event.  By the way, I'm certain it's "semiannual" unless you plan to start holding these every other year.  I wield the "Grammar Hammer" ( a special gift from one of my team leaders who is also quite an artist).  He will make me give it back, if I don't say something.
