Just for S&G, I took a look at the breakfast menu. Pumpkin Pecan Pancakes? Interesting I guess that would be interesting.

Nothing beats the strawberry foo-foo pancakes at the Allentown breakfast.

I'll have to see if I can make Allentown. Every year I always seem to have something conflicting and keeping me away.

Here are some pictures from last April's event....

Peter.

Unfortunately I cannot attend your breakfast but I did have a peek at the layout and give it the thumbs up. Very nice the scenery is well done the track plan is very versatile, congratulations to all involved. Have a great morning at the breakfast. Roo.

The reservation is confirmed for Thursday 0730 at the Round-the-Clock Diner......there is no deadline on when you can sign up.....last minutes decisions are always accommodated.....

I can almost taste those Pumpkin Pecan pancakes right now......YUM!!!!!

Peter

May we consider the consumption of Pumpkin Pecan pancakes to be on "Doctor's Orders"?  My wife said that's the only way she'll approve of my eating them.

Sure will taste a lot better than fruit and a plain bran muffin!

I would like to announce the Thursday, October 17th biannual pre-York breakfast.

Place: the Round-the-Clock Diner 222 Arsenal Rd or the north side of Route, just east of I-83.

All are invited......people start arriving at 0730-0800 and we usually stay till about 10-1030.

Come and dine with your fellow York attendees and catch the pre-meet excitement. I really do mean all are welcome.  Spouses are most certainly welcome. Traveling alone? In a small group? 1st York? Come and join us.  Put a face with a name. Catch up with what's gone on since April. Talk trains. Get new ideas. Make new acquaintances.....that's what this hobby is all about.

I reserve tables. It is pretty informal. Just give me an idea if you coming....there is no time limit on when to respond. It's just a great way to spend the morning before the Meet starts!

This is also a special breakfast......probably the last one on a Thursday......With the return of the 2 day Meet in April, I will be moving this to Fridays....and we won't have time to linger like we do now.....

Peter

First York for me Peter. Look forward to breakfast and starting the day with you guys.

Just remember to go in the driveway and not I-83. That was FUN the first time I was there in 2017. Nothing like going the wrong way for breakfast.

That was probably confusing to most everyone their first time - I know it was for me as that's a unique and immediate left-hand turn for the entrance!

-Greg

It also doesn't help that my coworkers OnStar said we were there before we even reached the place. That and me seeing what I though was a driveway off Arsenal which is on the off ramp.

So first time attendees, turn at the light and then hook the left into the diner otherwise it is straight past or I-83, lol. Either way you will have to turn around and have slow traffic.

I plan on getting up and in early. This way I get a great seat and don't have to worry about like my first year being at the kids table(way in the back, back where the waitresses serve coffee).

One year I got stuck in traffic and arrived about 45 minutes late and was in that spot as well!  It gave me an opportunity to meet new folks!

Which of the waitresses did you like best Greg?

Wow! friends from all over the country, possibly other Countries, this will be the best way to begin our day, with great friends, at “Around the Clock Diner”, for the October 2019 TCA Eastern Division Train Bonanza! It’ll be fun for all, and all for fun. We will be their, Lord willing, your friends from Tennessee and Kentucky, Leapin Larry and Charles Lentz and of course Farmerjohn ( Johnny Dawson and Debbie ).... It’s great to be retired and having time for some good old train fun, meeting friends, and catching up on the latest news about our great hobby, Model Railroading. We wish safe traveling for everyone. See you soon.....Happy Railroading

For some crazy reason I am mad hungry today even though I had eaten my usual eats at break this morning. It is as if almost there was some driving force saying, "BREAKFAST! TRAINS! BREAKFAST TRAINS!" Maybe my stomach is already at Round The Clock looking at the menu. Hopefully that will stop.

About that waitress, I don't seem to remember that one, but maybe my mind is elsewhere, lol.

I just went through the flights, it will take me 28 hours and 3 stops to get there from Perth to York for just under $2000 bucks flying Virgin/Delta airlines !

I will pass on this year maybe some other time.   Roo.

I was just about ready to offer to buy you a beer at Quaker Steak and Lube. It would be great if you could make it sometime.
