The popular Great Scale Model Train Show at Timonium, MD is Saturday and Sunday, April 11-12.

This year something new has been added:  The Brass Train Expo!  This is a section of the show reserved for vendors and manufacturers of brass models of all scales.

SMR Trains will have several tables in this special section.  Come visit and take a look at my current models and pick up a free copy of my 2015 catalog.  I will have YONAH and AMENIA locomotives on sale as well as some Arch Roof Passenger Cars.  Also a selection of my stub switches, switch stands and the prototype of my new boxcar kit!  Books too!

Its been quite a while since I've been in the area and I'm hoping to see some old friends and maybe make some new ones.

Dave

"Mis-timed" for you perhaps... I highly highly highly doubt the majority of the Brass Expo attendees could give two hoots about the York event. Despite York's amazing popularity to us and O scales; simply my dear Watson it's not thier interest whatsoever.

The attendees of the Brass Expo are an entirely different breed of collector, mostly HO and large 1 scale. I'm hopeful even a hint of the O scale (2 rail and P48) community will have a small presence at the event. I'm doubtful let alone die cast and plastic toy trains.

He's jonesing for some MD crab cakes,

I have not been to Timonium for well over a year now - I used to go to help sell off some estates for the NMRA, and then take a quick look around.  Now & again, I could find something that I really did not need at a price that I did not need to meet, but more often I only went to pick up scenery supplies.  Generally another waste of day of my life.

Going this Sat. is difficult as I need to be in PA and then it's a good distance out of my way to swing by Timonium just to pay to do sight-seeing.
