@MELGAR posted:I bought this Lionel Legacy model of Boston & Albany 2-8-4 Berkshire #1401. Only a brief test run (conventional) so far but it's an impressive model in my opinion.

Mel, that is very impressive, not only in your opinion. Looking forward to the future posts of that beauty in action.

LOL! That’s never happened to anyone on this forum before…😜.
Isn’t that the best? Just out enjoying an event and then you spot a great find!
@Train Nut posted:Got my Lionel Polar Express Doodle Bug today. Great looking piece. Sounds are really good. Lots of movie clips.
We’re going to need a video clip of this one in action with the movie clips playing!

As a guy who grew up along the BN race track and still rides the line into the city I am loving your collection of cabooses! I can totally appreciate the “most of my cabooses” statement. Very impressive.
I bought on line a box of 18 junk Lionel cars for $16.99 and found a Flat Car #6817 in this mess. Looking it up & repairing it went from maybe $.79 cents to now over $400,00. This car only needed to be cleaned up and applied a ALLIS CHAMBER 260 Scraper on it with total repairs of $49.00.

Here's a few short clips. I had to chop it up because of the one MB limit on posting videos.
LHS got a HUGE lot of NOS accessories and building marked at great prices. I couldn't pass up a few items.
I also got this little Marx? through truss bridge for $3 for the Christmas layout.
@Train Nut wonderful looking train, but either way I am a fan of your as you still watch M.A.S.H!

Good catch! Been a big fan since I was a kid. My wife is a fan too . They don't make shows like that anymore. I still get my fix if I'm home twice daily. Morning on TV land, and nightly on METV.
The latest pickups are Southern E6s in A-B-B and Santa Fe SD45. We are pleased with both.
My wife and I went to the Mesa swap mart and this followed us home.
Very nice metal sign for under $10.
Some of my recent purchases.
First is a MTH Construction Company flat car that came from forum sponsor Trainz.com sans load, I believe it should have been a scraper, which was fine since I was in the market for an empty flat car. I've got several NLOE club offerings of TOFCs with tractor and needed a flat to move the tractors. The tractor pictured is from my latest purchase below.
Another trip back to Long Island and another lunch with Bob, @RSJB18, joined by Mark Spadaro, another trip to a hobby shop, this time forum sponsor Train Land, and another purchase to bring home to Myrtle Beach. A WBB 70 Tonner in a garish Tropicana paint. You know me I like color and have 3 Tropicana reefers to pull behind it.
Most of the latest in one photo.
While waiting for Tropicannie to be retrieved I saw this handcar and had to have it. It's destined for my 30 year old son who was just crazy about Buzz Whiteyear when he was 3 or 4 and just adopted a pair of cat brothers and renamed them Buxx and Woody
Latest purchase another NLOE club TOFC, this time a Republic Aviation tanker with tractor shown above on a red LIRR flatcar to go along with the two Grumman TOFC and the NY Islanders TOFC i already have.
Looks like I need another NT Construction Company flat for two more tractors
