Working on my Union Pacific roster, adding some locomotives and rolling stock.
A non-powered Lionel GP30 in Union Pacific colors…
And a nice steam era UP CA-4 caboose…by Lionel…

Wow memory ville, that Gon, look like the one that came in my first HO set (still have it) some sixty five years ago, and if there is a better Diesel then a GP30 don't try to tell me about it

If we didn't buy what we didn't need there would be no hobby, and everyone needs a smooth running Steamer, just to watch the drive train itself
My subway binge buying continues. Lucked out with scoring two unused MTH sets to add to my storage collection for the future subway layout.
The R34 version with blue doors of the “R11 Million Dollar Train” (20-2934-1) was a NOS on FeeBay and the R40 Slant (20-21143-1) is a brand new set that I purchased from Mario’s Trains. Came across the R40 by chance and snapped it up immediately.
Speaking of the Million Dollar Train, here are some photos that I took of the scale R11 cutaway model at the New York Transit Museum
@Strap Hanger, hang on for the ride!
Very Nice score Kevin.... Beautiful set...
Exquisite, but what is keeping them boxed up. as Bo Diddley would say "you got to let the boys run," Find a hill build a block house so you don't get Hurricane out and lets get moving

@Guttersnipe - I believe that you were responding to me. The trains are being kept boxed up because I don’t have a layout. With the exception of a couple models, subway sets are very hard to come by and sometimes can be very pricey. So until that layout gets built, I have to jump on the opportunity to get them so that I’m not hunting later when I have the layout. In the meantime, I will probably give them some run time at one of my trains clubs that runs O Gauge trains. When running them on grade level at the club layout, I will just imagine them running on the Staten Island Railway, LOL.
Very nice, @Amfleet25124 ! Christmas certainly came early in November. Love the R40 and the blue door R34 is one of my favorites. If you are able to secure an R32, running them in a mixed consist looks great with the matching blue doors on both. That multi track future layout is going to need some beautiful large diameter curves with all your new MTH premier subways!
Yeah I was actually picking on you. Feeling my old age, many of us, don't know how many tomorrow's we got, so I'm begging you to enjoy them sooner rather that later hence the Block house on top of a hill in Florida, Good luck be with you

Great buys guys, and this is a great topic as everyone likes different products, so it’s a very interesting topic. I finally received my new Lionel Legacy A5 9-4-0 Steam switcher. It’s awesome, ran great out of the box, has the necessary plug from the tender to the locomotive, along with the close coupling draw bar, Wow, Happy Railroading Everyone and Happy Thanksgiving to…. It’s the B&O version.
