Buying experience on OGR site

I've had almost universally positive experiences buying from the OGR sale forum.  It's certainly way more positive than places like eBay, which are more of a crap shoot.

For the most part, even though most of us have never met we still consider each other as friends. That's what makes the forum a valuable resource.

Agreed. I’m 2 for 2 with great experiences both times. I’ve been patiently watching auction sites for some diesels I want, so may try the “want to buy” forum here soon.

I have bought and sold. Decent every time.

Bought a Lionel Legacy UP Aux Tender from a member and had no issues.

I too have purchased via the OGR forum and I had very pleasant experience. I also made a new friend from one of my purchases!

I've bought a few things form OGR Forum, probably at least a half dozen.     All positive experiences.    I have never tried Ebay, just reading some of the descriptions offered in which the seller is either totally clueless or a baldfaced lier has made decide to never try it.

I always look here before eBay. Long-time members and hobbyists are much more likely to be honest about condition and fair in dealing with any problems.
