cab2 hidden button? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

just noticed this hidden button. its on all my cab2 remotes. it is on the back side upper right next to the top screw hole. I can not find anything in the manual about this. anyone know what this recessed button is for ?

Hard reset button. Not normally ever used- hence not in documentation.

It apparently does the same thing as removing the batteries. I know I couldn't see any difference between pressing that and removing the batteries.
