Photo # 1.....West Bound 4460 rolls thru Martinez...The 4460 made any runs between Roseville and Oakland and now sits in St. Louis, saved from the scrapper....The date is 7-01-55
Photo # 2.....Running late today is the WB Tracy drag with 2471 as the power, 2471 was bumped from the commuter pool to freight and local passenger service...the date is 7-05-55
Photo # 3.....Train 224 with plenty of head end traffic has another commuter engine working the local passenger trains...The 2466 will handle 224 to Sacramento and then become 202 to Gerber..The date is 12-54
Photo # 4.....Train 229 with 4449 and only two cars today, usually running about five cars...The 4449 has just come from the Sacramento shops and is using 229 as a break-in run....Feb. 1955
Photo # 5.....X west4293 has the first BCW from Roseville...This train usually runs up to five sections, the date is 7-02-55...Steam was king, who would have ever thought that the diesels were coming, but the F's were already working the western division.
