Over on our UK tinplate train forum the Marx reproduction armoured train set which was discussed here a little while ago, has also just been under discussion. In the course of looking for similar themed models I have stumbled across a maker called Heco which seems to specialise in WW1 tinplate models - a period I've long been interested in. I then tried to find out more about the company - which I think might be US based? Apart from several photos of the product range, I can't seem to find any information on the company. Is it still producing these models and if so does anyone have any contact details. I appreciate this is a train forum, but figured you guys may well have some knowledge and would permit this slightly off-themed enquiry.

Yes, thasnkyou, I too have seen this website, but it does not really give any answers as those who have posted something on it are either looking to buy the models or say they have one or other but that they are very hard to find. I've also seen all the images, which seem to bring you back to this same site. Nowhere does anyone seem to have any information concerning whoever made them, when or where?

I've read that too. Something about an elderly couple, giving up production in the 90's.

UK based I think.

You could try to find more on a Great War forum, like Landships.

I thought that naming the Landships forum could help you further, as they have a model forum too, with lots of people with a lot knowledge.

Many thanks too,
