Hi all,

I am looking for the part number for a Lionel chuffing smoke unit, that is found in almost any Lionel newer steam locomotive.  Can anyone help me out with a part number?  Right now, Lionel's parts department is apparently offline, as the parts software receives an upgrade and face lift.

Thanks! Making some upgrades to my just received NOS Lionel C&O Hudson.  Even though it is from 1995, it is one beautiful engine.

I think Lionel should rerun this engine, and the Commodore Vanderbilt.

Hi John,

So If I do remove the existing smoke unit, what does your chuffer do for me.  I see many posts mentioning it.  I never followed the threads in the past, because I had no application.  Now, I might.  Do I buy from Hennings Trains?  I am actually thinking of driving from Buffalo to their shop near Philly just to meet the guys and check out their shop.  I really enjoy their videos, and comraderies'.

This engine is beautiful and BIG!  It measure in at 26" or 27"'s!

The Super-Chuffer offers a number of features.  It's main purpose is to give you good looking chuffing smoke synchronized with the sound, and low speed smoke at idle.

The lighting features are optional, but they are a nice enhancement and give you some of the lighting features of newer Legacy and PS/3 locomotives.

If you ever drive down, let me know when you're coming, I'll see if I can be there.  I do most of the repairs and product stuff from home, but I'm in there a couple times a week.
