Can't add attachments from Internet Explorer.

I just use an online photo storage program, copy the IMG file address and paste. Many are free like skyline, flicker, or photobucket. It is nice to have backup files of these photos too, despite my best efforts, Ive lost quite a few pics over the years because I only backed up to hard disk, DVD, or CD, then crashed and/or scratched the backup disk. 

i normally use Firefox, but just tried IE (8.0) and it works just fine now.

first line software fix... restart usually does it.

Unless you are running Windows XP you should have IE 10.

Then JAVA Version 7 update 25.

Then Adobe Flash Player 11.8.800.94

 

Having Chrome installed changes some Windows & IE settings. Google is watching.

I have Win 7 Ultimate, running IE10. Everything is to the latest update.

Ok. It's a security setting, select the gear, select internet options, select advanced tab, Security group.

 

Darn if I can remember which one I changed. Here's some snips of my settings for browsing and security. You can compare to yours. I also select the stay on this page option when it appears after selecting the add attachments.
