Can you point me to information on how to run an Odessey EM-1 (circa 2000) with a legacy control?

I have sporadically had time to try and get my first O scale locomotive running with a Lionel Legacy controller. I have struggled with all of this as I have no experience with the electronics or loco. All this is new to me. I had maybe 8 months ago gotten the loco programmed on loco 16 but had to take it into a repair shop for a drive train issue and they unprogrammed it. It is supposedly on engine 1 but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make it run/move again. I have the Legacy manual printed out but find it extremely hard to follow. The manual for the engine is pre Legacy so that is a struggle too.

Is there a video or some resource that would help me with the very basics of push this button description? The structure on the cab2 gets me lost and stuck almost immediately.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

This video, from Lionel, might help (I see that @laz1957 may have beaten me to it):

Note that although you have a TMCC locomotive your CAB-2 will accept Engine ID programming in a similar fashion as if it were LEGACY.

TMCC was originally supported by the CAB-1/BASE-1 set. With the introduction of Legacy later on, TMCC also became supported by the CAB-2/BASE-2 and CAB1L-BASE-1L systems that were introduced to support Legacy.

They both work with TMCC but will have different icons in the keypad. I think it also changes from relative speed steps to absolute speed steps, not that you would notice. Try each.
