I am trying to export my DCS app data file from one iPad to another, both of which have ver 4.0.0 of the app installed. I have tried the email method and the save to iCloud method. In either case I get an error when trying the import step "There was a problem during initial processing of the Import file." The iPad OS versions are 15.7.9 for export and 17.6.1 for import. The exported file is around 13K in size. I can open and view the exported .MTH file and view the HTML5 contents. I initially thought maybe both DCS apps needed to be the same version, but I fixed that by upgrading the export app to 4.0.0 to match versions with the import app. Anyone have any ideas?

Gary, I had a similar problem. I researched an older thread on this and the conclusion there was that the data file was corrupted in someway. My source file is on my phone. I tried exporting it to both a new and old iPad and neither worked. For the heck of it, I tried exporting between iPads and that did work. I went back and tried exporting again from my iPhone and did not have any luck. I guess it’s either the iPhone mechanics or there is some form of corruption. Interesting that I have no trouble running things from any of the devices?
Yes, I suspect a corrupted file. Since I can open the .mth file and view its HTML5 content, I found it curious that the "ROUTES" that I had created had no entries anywhere in the file, although they run just fine! I perish the thought of having to wipe the data clean and rebuild the app's data from scratch. I have put in a support request to MTH app customer service, but I suspect they will tell me the same thing. I can also try going the opposite way--i.e. transferring the OLD file to overwrite the newest one, but if I do that, I will have some updating to do to it.
I'm confused. The .MTH file is a PS2 or PS3 sound file. You just treat it as a binary file and copy it.

They are not referencing a sound file but rather the file that the app creates when you export data from the app on one device and import it into the app on another device. The DCS app also uses a ".MTH" file extension.
H1000 characterized that properly - it is the file that is exported from the advanced features of the DCS App. It contains engine info, switches, accessories, etc.
I'm surprised they used the same file extension, that's a gigantic no-no in the programming world.
