my questions are

how do you shutdown the engine, all the lights are still on.

when we turn off smoke the fan stops but smoke is still rolling out of top of stacks the element is not turning off.

please help as i run only mth and i would like to get legacy but do not like the engine still being on when it is shutdown.

A TMCC engine only operates in TMCC, the leagcy remote controls TMCC locomotives in TMCC or cab1 mode.

The lights on a TMCC locomotive do not turn off when it is shutdown, legacy locomotives are specially equipped with this feature.

AUX1-8 on the legacy remote should shut off the smoke unit just with a legacy remote as it would with a TMCC remote. Are you sure the element is still creating heat or is it possible it is the remaining smoke that drifts out after the unit is shutdown and begins to cool?

TMCC engines run smoothest with the legacy remote contolling them in "TMCC Mode". Outside of that, they operate in the same manner they would with the original TMCC remote. All of the same keystrokes apply.

Legacy features are specific to a legacy locomotive, not the legacy remote.
