A terrific structure to be sure!    Please post some photos and another video in the horizontal format for viewing on our computers. The vertical field is SO limiting and only shows on about 30% of the screen!    Many folks here don't like to view videos especially on the darn phones. thanks. :-)

Thanks Larry!

You need to come down and see us. We’re having a Casey Jones Chapter TCA show this Saturday.

I’ll be in Nashville for the TCA convention, I will have three tables at the Market place. Hope to see you there!

I don’t know  how that vertical format suddenly showed up on my iPhone camera. I guess it’s fat fingers on the iPhone syndrome  again😮. I’ll send new videos next time I’m at the club layout.

Thanks again to all!

The Casey Jones HI Railers have been working on the trestle bridge for almost 3 years including the Covid shut down. The main two track bridge came from a club in New York. Phil, who has since passed away purchased the bridge and brought it to Memphis. I posted the story about the bridge a few years ago. Here are some pictures showing the early days of the trestle construction leading up to the pictures I posted earlier. The trestle is 9ft long. Mike and David are in the pictures. They did most of the work on the trestle. other members who worked on the project were Fritz, Frank, Fred, Nep, Jim and me.

The pees are made of wood covered with the blue Styrofoam. The Styrofoam is also used on the walls under and around the bridge.  Each one of the blocks on the peers and bridge walls are pressed in the Styrophome by hand. The girder bridge was scratch built. The bents for the trestle were all scratch built using a jig made by one of our members.  The boat is from a kit modified by one of our members. it is lighted to include a spot sight and marker lights. The bridge will have navigation lights.

Congrats to all the CJHR members who have worked on this project.
