Hi Fellow Member, PDQMI • The web address you ask for is posted below. They have a lot of new things happening. Marshall is not that far. If you have GPS in your car, you should have no problems in finding the location.

When I was a kid it was an IGA Supermarket, and today these two rail modelers have turned it into a first class scale layout.

Hope you guys from Marshall can make it......

You know  NO one from Chicago, and I mean  no one, calls it CHI-TOWN!!

No one who actually lives here calls it "Chi-Town." The very phrase induces gags, and bad images of Frank Sinatra stage patter in Las Vegas. Seriously. Chi-Town? As if.

Now that I think of it, she's right. Over the years I've heard plenty of people from elsewhere say such things as "Hey, how are things in Chi-Town?" and "Maybe we can have dinner when I'm in Chi-Town."

But I can't remember ever hearing anyone who lives here refer, even ironically to "Chi-Town."

I love living in Chi-Town
Chi-Town's never looked better
It's the best Thai restaurant in Chi-Town
Winters in Chi-Town are brutal, man.

Maybe in print, where we strain for variety, but never, ever in conversation. Not here. At least not in my circles. Yours?

Do real Chicagoans use the term "Chi-Town?"
