Pick-up trucks! Like gondolas and flatcars they are easily converted into Christmas vehicles for your lay-out.
Santa's well-balanced fleet includes coal, diesel, electric and gasoline. Hmmm....needs more gasoline. You never know where a shortage will hit. Ooops; the third one is an electric trolley, but you get the idea.
Yes indeed! The handcars are great!!!

Oh, I get it!
Vincent, that one hauling the gondola with reindeer looks neat with the big snowplow on it.

Thank you, Mark.
And this brings up a word of advice: If you're thinking of buying a Christmas train, look carefully at the railcars. Are they sharp-looking or plain-looking? And never buy a small plastic battery-powered train--they derail constantly.
LOL
About buying trains. I couldn’t agree more about the plastic battery trains. I’m not in the market this year. I have the LC Bluetooth Polar Express and the Halmark Toymaker sets. I also have a North Pole Central 0-4-0 and a few cars. I need to find some photographs of them.
With snow flying yesterday here in the Midwest it felt more like Christmas than Halloween! Here is a video from last year with our Disney Christmas train getting help from the Hallmark Toymaker Santa engine as the Polar Express passes by.
Rob
Loved the video - well done - nice touch with the hallmark engine
but - a question - what are the last three cars of you train?
Thank you
Enon
Need something to add to a Christmas flat car (Between Halloween and Christmas)?
A new hallmark ornament which is the perfect size for O gauge.
Just google "Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas Here Comes Sandy Claws Ornament.
I did not want to post a picture as it may not be allowed, but google it and look for it in the stores
Here is the link, Thanks Dave, did not know it was OK to add this

Links are helpful though (they don't violate the copyright law since the content is not reproduced without clicking to go to the original source)!
Sandy Claws on Hallmark.com.
I may have to take a glance at that the next time I'm in a store. I'd guess it's probably a little too big/heavy to mount to the top of an airplane pylon in place of the regular Santa Sleigh.

Rob, Looks great! My wife really liked the Halmark Toymaker set, so I bought it. I also have the Polar Express! Get the Christmas trains running, because it seems like the next thing you know it’s January!
I just got caught up Vincent. I have never seen any of those neat buildings. I like the signal tower!
I have the PE LC Bluetooth version. Indeed nice

Not to speak too much for Mark, but PE= Polar Express, and there have been quite a few variants.
Original strictly conventional (possibly more than one), The earlier LionChief one, and finally the LionChief one with Bluetooth capability.

Fortunately, I have collected a variety of Christmas railcar photos over the years. They are mostly Lionel O-scale, but there are a variety of others. And please feel free to add your own photos.
I need to get a Hershey's Bells car. I do have a few Hershey's Christmas cars. I will post when I get a chance.
My first year of all Christmas trains under the tree was 2015. The Hallmark Santa Toymaker train took my outside track while the Polar Express (with Hot Chocolate car and Disappearing Hobo car) took up the inside track.
I remember in the mid 1980s, adding Christmas decorations (mostly old cupcake toppers such as plastic snowmen or Santas) to the train layout we had. I also cut out some of the decorations off old gift tags, and Scotch-taped them to the telephone poles. My father was not amused. I placed 6 (only 6) Hershey's kisses in an HO Union Pacific gondola, and he accused me of "wasting food." Since he grew up in the Depression, I suppose he expected me to, also.
Thank you for this thread, Vincent. I hope to add more recent pics when my 2019 trains go up.
