I have been working all day on the problem that I posted earlier in the day- getting my command control fastrack switches to function. Now I have a z-4000 transformer that is hooked to a TIU and I can run both MTH and Lionel trains on the system.  I also have a Legacy system that I run on the track.I also have a fairly large layout. My switches would not program with the system the way I had it. (I hooked the z 4000 to the TIU and then hooked the TIU to the track.  When I disconnected the TIU, my switches worked well; but now I can not run my MTH train in command control on the layout.

With all that said, does anyone know how I could run all my trains in command control and still use my remote Legacy command control switches?

You connect the transformer to the TIU, and the TIU to the track.  Connect the Legacy controller to the outside rail of the track directly, do not run it through the TIU.

If you can run Legacy locomotives on the tracks, I can't imagine why you can't program the command switches, that's all that should be required.  Do the Legacy locomotives operate properly going through the command switches?

Perhaps you don't have a sufficient ground signal, try connecting a wire from the ground prong of the outlet you have the Legacy connected to, and laying that next to the command switch you're trying to program.
