I have decided  to use styrene sheets to make a concrete "slab" in an industrial area on my layout.  Some may reference my previous post where I asked for suggestions on this topic.  The styrene sheets appear to me to be the easiest method.

Now I have a couple of questions re details:

 1) What would be a typical concrete expansion joint spacing?  I think joints on residential driveways are typically 10' or 12' apart.  But I am wondering if that standard is the same for industrial concrete areas.

 2) When should I scribe the expansion joints into the styrene - before painting or after?  In some cases, I might be able to seam the sheets at the appropriate spacing.

As always, any advice will be greatly appreciated.
