Right now in eBay brass there are 2 listings for FL-9s.  One is for a Penn Central A Unit in 3 rail and a New York Central AA set in 2 Rail.  The New York Central units sport Multiple MU and 490 Volt receptacles as well as ditch lights.  The Penn Central 3 rail version has neither.  That seems odd as Penn Central came after New York Central and I believe they both preceded 480 Volt passenger service.  The NYC version looks (barring the paint job) exactly like I remember the Amtrak FL9s when they returned from Morris Knudsen in the late 70's or very early 80's.  I spent 33 years with Amtrak in Rensselaer, NY.  What's the story?

The New York Central FL9s were modeled after the two (#2012 and #2013) that were painted in 1999 by Metro-North Railroad for the 150th anniversary of the Hudson Line in New York State. Both are still around. One is on the railroad property in Croton in their yard and the other was given to the Danbury Railroad Museum in Danbury, CT.
