I have another Atlas O board die on me. I have had several replaced at my expense and want to follow another path. I stripped the C-628 to the 2 motors and speakers planing on a Blunami conversion. The expense and trying to make my life simpler is holding me back a bit but I may continue with Blunami idea. Is there an easier and cheaper conversion to conventional? Trying to make life simpler, due to health issues, I would be happy to have electronic e unit, maybe basic sound (but not necessary) and directional lighting. In other words to have it run as a former Williams engine did. On the other hand Blunami is tempting....all be it more complicated and expensive. I will never consider more Lionel tmcc board replacements as they have cost me enough already.
