Dear friends,
I've finally completed this model after some intense hours of modeling. The car is the most detailed one I've been working on so far. Intermountain made a great kit to which I added metal weights, brass running boards, printed door hardware, backdated reporting marks to match the steam era, weathering with oils, lift bars and all brass brake rods.

Well built, really nice weathering, the expanded metal roof walk is such a great touch on these, like that metal cut lever too.

Beautiful work. Regret to say my search for the "ad" picturing running boards remains fruitless. Running boards usually don't capture my attention, but the one in this ad had oval slots! Not sure what purpose they served (aerodynamics, water dissipation, window dressing ????
I will continue my search.
