Hi GUYZ,
I just bought a new Lionel CP Evolution Hybrid, and the backup light, fan unit and the smoke units won't work. I have tried to reset the engine and follow the other resetting sequence stated in the book but nothing works. Is there anything else I can do with this engine to get it to work properly? Do I need to call Lionel to get and RA number? Or can I e mail Lionel about this problem or take it back to where I purchased it? Thanks in advance.

You could take it back and get a refund/replacement or call Lionel and get an RA to get it fixed, your choice
Do it soon I think those are getting near the end of the 3 year warranty period
Lionel is sending me a RA so away it will go. What is the turn around time on products sent to Lionel, anyone know?
its been reported to be pretty good. a week or two
I have several of these. Clean the contacts with alcohol lighty sand the contacts with 400. Sand papper. I got all this info from Mr regan himself.
Thanks for the info but I think I'll be sending it to Lionel and let MIKE work some magic.
