I recently purchased a Lionel NJ Transit blinking light water tower (6-37831). Very nice modern design, although I do have some critical comments: I was surprised the instructions stated that future bulb replacement should be done by a Lionel technician due to the "complicated disassembly". Just wondering if anyone has ever replaced the bulb? - how complicated can it be?. You wonder why Lionel would design a simple structure that way. Also, does anyone know if the bulb is an LED or standard type? And finally, I don't think the blinking light sequence is very realistic due to the long time is stays lit (approximately 6 seconds) before blinking - makes you question why the circuit board wasn't designed better. Even with those critical comments, I would still recommend it as a nice addition to your layout if appropriate.
