Cruise Light

I have several engines with Cruise Light installed, on two of these periodically when I punch their ID number into the remote and start turning the throttle on the remote they will take off like a rocket, most times if I power down the layout and power up again they will run as they should. One of these engines of late has not gone back to normal operation. Any ideas, I haven't tried reprogramming?

Reprogramming is the very first thing to try. If that doesn't fix them, the only other suggesting I have is replace the R4LC and see if that helps.
