The local library is having a train day. Pretty much layouts and the like - just to get some interest going in model trains. It is a long running event about which I can't give it proper acknowledgement since I have only known of it for a few weeks. I will have a small layout as I was asked if I could do.

I am planning to hold a 'raffle' of sorts. No charge. Entrants must be 18yrs old or less and have an OK from the parent to enter. Basically, put your name in a box and draw one at the end of the day. The prize: A cobbled together "classic" toy train set. The idea here is to get some of them younger folks interested in something other than video games and the stuff on TV. If they came to the train days, they probably are interested. So this might be a way to expand that interest.
So, what will the "Classic toy train set" have? I do not know. I am looking for donations to cobble together a small oval of track with an engine and some cars - and a power source. So if you have anything you can donate, please contact me off line (my e-mail is in my profile). Here are the things I think I need:
