James, yes great loco, our previous release, the Jinty is a wonderful engine, this Pannier will also be a beauty. I'm sure it will be very popular. Most manufacturers are obsessed with making mainline locos, so it great to see a maker filling the void with such lovely offerings.

David, they are an iconic loco, particularly for GWR fans. I'm sure they will be very well received. I look forward to getting them in stock. Train manufacturers seem to concentrate more on mainline locos, so to get a 2-6-2, Jinty and now Pannier in quick succession will really fill those gaps in the roster.

This is not a particularly good photo but you might still find this of interest. Its the motor and gear box of the Jinty which I think you will find will be very similar to the Pannier. The motor is a well proved Japanese Macubi which drives a beveled contrate gear which in turn drives a train of gears down to each of the three drive axles.
