Seems strange that the lights and sounds start but it doesn’t add the engine to the active list.

You shouldn’t get lights or sound out of the engine until you press “Startup”.

If you have a lighted car on the track it should come on when you attempt to add engine.

This is difficult to pinpoint without any other DCS engines or a conventional transformer.

I did have one engine that I had problems adding. It would work about 1:20 attempts. Sent it to MTH (under warranty).  Turned out the Explorer had a problem so they replaced it AND the engine had a loose ground wire.

I'm having trouble following along on where you're at with this.

Some basics, you can't add the same engine that's already in the device. You'd have to delete it first and then add it back.

Seems like you maybe doing this but I'm not sure?

Guys please help me.

I try to use app DCS from my iPhone, But app does not see the engine when I try to add it.

I bought it. DCS explorer may be it's not enough. Do I need to buy TIU?

Thank you for your advice.

You bought what exactly, the app? The explorer should be enough for one engine. What else is on the rails getting power?

How much track do you have? Assuming you're using the wall wart and single power feed it is possible you've got a power problem.

Suggestion:

Setup 3 or 4 straight sections, power it up and try adding the engine again.

Have you tried doing a Feature or Factory Reset?

Questions:

Have you run any other engines with DCS Explorer? As I understand it, it is limited to 3 engines.

What is the Part number for the engine?

Have you run it conventional?
