Sold a customer a DCS  Explorer -did not come with starter set. He has 2 loops of track that are not connected to each other.

He has Z1000 to power the unit and is getting power to track based upon lighted caboose setting on track.

Problem is the light never goes to purple.  It stays red. I do not understand if he is doing something with his wiring or if DCS explorer is defective. He said if he unhooks everything light stays red.

Any ideas what I can do to help the guy?

Barry are you out there?

Thanks.

Brian

Brian,

Without seeing the unit and taking the owner's observations as accurate, the unit appears to be broken. However, I strongly suggest the owner bring the unit into the store and that he attempt to replicate what he's seeing.

If you can arrange to get this to happen, coordinate with me via telephone and I'll attempt to be on the phone with you when the owner comes into the store.
