Hi every one out there,Barry's book is my bible and I am going to try to get DCS tmcc and LEGACY together and I have the Y cable is goes good into the legacy base an the command base but the serial is a male and so is the TIU input.
do I need just an adaptor or do I need to get the 50-1007 or the 50-1032 in addition is not very clear in the book.I will appreciate any comments dearly.

If you do not need to control your Legacy/TMCC engines with your DCS system, you don't need any cables. You need the 50-1032 cable only if you want to send TMCC commands from the DCS system.
If you want to control TMCC/Legacy with your Legacy system and MTH with your DCS system just connect the Legacy signal wire to all the black output terminals you are using on your TIU and you are ready to go.
To use the Legacy command base with the TIU, connect the MTH cable #50-1032 between the TIU and the Legacy Base.
To use both the Legacy and TMCC Command bases, connect the Legacy Y cable head to the Legacy base, the TMCC end to the TMCC base, the RS232 end to the Legacy end of MTH cable #50-1032, and the TIU end of the MTH cable to the TIU.

Dear Barry even the gurus are allowed to make typos the cable You mentioned to connect TIU LEGACY as 50-1023,thi number corresponds to the PS-1 reseting kit and 50-1032 is the correct number.but I do appreciate the fact that you took the time to write to me.I will let you go so You can go back and finish 3rd edition of Your book maybe I can get an autographed one when it comes out.
